Ed Niece invented VERSA-MOUNT in 2004 after recognizing a serious need for a mechanism to allow standard bicycle safety lights to be attached to areas other than on bicycle seat posts and handle bars.  As an avid bike rider, Ed was well aware that the early morning and twilight hours present some of the most hazardous biking conditions because of reduced visibility, therefore an increased risk of being struck by motor vehicles.  Being a bicycle safety enthusiast, he felt it necessary to reduce this risk.  The VERSA-MOUNT mounting bracket was then produced, providing for additional safety light mounting. Thus giving riders the opportunity to ride more hours as days grow shorter in the Fall and Winter months.

Promoting bicycle safety is the main priority of VERSA-MOUNT.  As gas prices continue to rise, more people are taking to the roads on bicycles.  Our unwavering commitment to bicycle safety is the core motivation behind the VERSA-MOUNT mounting bracket.  Through this innovative product our hope is to further educate the public about bicycle safety and encourage bicycle riders of all ages to take a precautionary approach to bicycle riding for the benefit of both bicyclist and motorists.
